Nutty Over You- Simon Says Stamp monthly card kit October 2016

My first card with the Simon Says Stamp monthly card kit. With Fall in swing a lot of gold embossing powder is being used. I don't have any gold embossing powder yet, my embossing supplies is pretty minimal. I really love the gold shimmer that it brings though. For this card i wanted the squirrels to be gold but to have some depth. I first stamped them in Colorbox Chestnut brown ink and then layered over the top with Colorbox Gold ink, using my MISTI to keep everything in place. The result is just enough extra detail!
You can see the difference in the ink between the first and second pictures. I might have to try this again. Maybe mix up some color combos.

The gold pigment ink gives the brown just enough gold shimmer.
