So here is a scaled down version of a more detailed card but with out the added height. I wanted to create a more flat version of a card I did last year with the Lawn Fawn Sprinkled with Joy stamp set.
You could easily achieve this with out the die set. I have the dies but did not use it once for this project but I do list it in the supplies because you can easily use for quicker assembly.
These cards were made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge; Anything goes.
Each scene has a different color scheme so that they aren't exact. I stamped the oven on a piece of Neenah Solar white 110lb card stock and then ran it through the my Bigshot to get the stitched edge. You could do that before or after coloring the scene. (Or not at all)
I dug out my trusty T-ruler and sketched out the lines for the counter, cabinet and floor. Then bolded up those lines with a Micron pen and colored in the areas like the cabinet bases, counter top and floor tiles. After coloring the oven I used a white Prismacolor pencil to add the highlight back in (I got a little thick with the darker colors.)
I took a scrap of Neenah card stock and figured out the size I needed for the cabinet doors. I added texture to those with the Hero arts Wood grain back ground stamp then colored and drew the outline with a copic marker. The knobs are dots from some white Nuvo drops, it turned a slight yellow while drying. I also stamped the oven and cut out the door window with an xacto knife. I glued vellum to the inside to make it look like a frosted oven door.
The added embellishments I stamped and then fussy cut out so that they didn't have that white edge around them that the die makes. I cut apart the "Christmas wishes" sentiment so that I could stack it and make it more versatile. I stamped and embossed that on some Neenah card stock and then trimmed it to fit on the wall. The twine was added to make it look like a decoration.
Below is a supply list I have compiled. All links below are affiliate links and are used to help support this blog and my hobby. I only link to products that I love and use. Thank you so much for visiting and all comments are appreciated!
Please note: I do not list the exact colors I used on this project but Copics do come in these handy blend packs found on Amazon and you can recreate using your own favorite colors that you may already have.
