Hey everyone! Today I'm sharing another card made for the Kindred Stamps Video Design Team. I'm featuring the Love Bites stamp set and also a couple of Kindred Stamps stencils; The brand new Zebra stencil and the Forest stencil.
Watch the video here.
I used all 4 pieces of the forest stencil to ink the layers. Washi tape definitely helped out with keeping the paper and stencils secured to the glass mat. After I ink blended the trees in with green shades of Distress Oxide Ink I used the negative portion of the Forest stencil to mask the trees (stacking them so that all the layers are masked.) then ink blended in the sky portion.
The Zebra stencil was layered over the bottom portion after I ink blended with the darker colors of green. I used Twisted Citron over the top and created a stripe texture. For some reason this gave me a 90s vibe, and I'm ok with that.
Now I promise I wont be doing trees again for a while lol. I think it must be the fall weather bringing this out!
For the images I used watercolor pencils, the ones I have are a set from Fantasia. They are pretty in expensive. I wanted to this card to be for a friend. I know there are a lot of people who you the word "tribe" as a way to describe a group of friends. I've always called my little family a pack. So i'm playing off of that concept with the sentiment.
I did leave this one blank on the inside. I think that it could be used for many different occasions, so I will customize it further when I need to.
